Town has resources for COVID-19 vaccinations

East Hartford Health Department staff has set up a vaccination clinic at the South End Senior Center and is offering vaccinations for those eligible by appointment. The unadvertised clinic started as a way to help seniors who do not have access to a computer and knowledge of it is being spread by word of mouth in the town.

Presently the state is in phase 1B of Governor Ned Lamont’s vaccination rollout. Individuals 65 and older are eligible, and, beginning March 1, those age 55 and older will be eligible to register for a vaccine appointment. Older groups will still be eligible to get vaccinated.

For phases and eligibility visit this page https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/covid-19%20vaccinations.

Residents should NOT call their physician or regular medical provider to schedule an appointment – not all providers are currently administering vaccine.
